A motif comes to life: master carriage builder Jacques Tilly and sculptor Doris George created the two three-meter-high dog sculptures in just four weeks, which from now on will greet visitors at the entrance area before every concert by the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra. Page B2

Tilly’s mascot
(k/da) The Düsys go on tour. From Sunday, the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker, led by star conductor John Fiere, will be giving three concerts at unusual locations, such as on the MS Rhein-Energie and in the Bilder St. Peter Kirche. At the free opening concert in the Eon Gallery (June 5, 11 a.m., Eon Square), the musicians will be supported by two styrofoam figures, almost three meters high: the Düsy dogs. The mascots of the symphony were created within four weeks by master carriage builder Jacques Tilly, who also causes a sensation with his cheeky carriages at carnival, and the sculptor Doris George.
